THE EVERYDAY LAYER

JoyaGoo Spreadsheet - Hoodies

A good hoodie starts with the shape. Compare chest width, shoulder width and length against a sweatshirt you already like, rather than relying on the size letter.

Hoodie Fit, Layering & Construction

This edit brings together pullover and zip-up hoodies from different brands. Start with the chest width, shoulder width and body length of a layer you already like. For a zip-up, check the intended open and closed fit; for a pullover, look at the hood and neckline too.

Compare the silhouette

Check chest width, body length and sleeve length together. Dropped shoulders can change where the sleeve begins, so use the seller’s measurement diagram where available. Decide whether you want a cropped, regular or roomy shape before selecting the size.

Check fabric and lining

Look for the stated composition, lining description and garment weight if provided. A fleece-like appearance does not confirm warmth or fabric feel. Ask about missing details, especially if you want a light layer for indoors or something roomier over a T-shirt.

Inspect the finishing details

Compare the hood, pocket openings, zip, cuffs and hem. Open the exact colour and check the position of any print or embroidery. If a photo shows matching trousers, verify whether the listing price covers the hoodie alone or a complete set.

USD estimates use the API’s reference rate of CNY 7.2 per USD. Prices exclude shipping and other charges; check the selected option on the current listing. Brand names are source catalogue labels. Listing images are not your order’s QC photos.

STYLE NOTES

Hoodie Styling Guide

Think about the hoodie as one part of your outfit. Use its length, volume and colour to decide which trousers, T-shirt and outer layer to put around it.

An everyday base

Pair a pullover with straight trousers and a familiar shoe shape. Compare where the waistband and hoodie hem meet. If the hoodie has a large graphic, use simpler colours elsewhere when you want that detail to be the focus.

Open zip-up layers

Wear a zip-up over a tee to introduce another colour or a visible graphic. Compare the T-shirt hem with the hoodie length and try different amounts of opening. This gives you several combinations without changing the rest of the outfit.

Under a jacket

Compare the hood, cuffs and lower hem with the outer layer. Choose which parts you want to show, and leave enough room for the combination to move comfortably. A shorter jacket and a longer hoodie create a different outline from two matching lengths.
